Vis-Tex Silver Water/Energy Saver System
The Silver system re-directs all of the press water to the rinse zone. Water use and re-use of water is optimized by adjusting all of the water flows throughout the tunnel. In all cases, Silver, Gold and Platinum systems, it is presumed that the laundry has a basic sewer heat exchange system. Between 0.3 gal/lb and 0.7 gal/lb, depending on tunnel size and typical soil levels. Flow provides flush water in the range of 130 F to 140 F.
Natural Gas Savings Increase of 10 F in the extractor delivers up to 3% natural gas savings in the dryers.
Chemistry Savings Repeated contact of the same chemistry with linen in two zones saves on chemical usage. Quality For non-healthcare linens the warm flush zone improves stain and soil removal performance.

Vis-Tex Gold Water/Energy Saver System
All the features of the Silver system with the addition of a single tube-in-shell heat exchanger (HEX). The HEX is installed with one of two options: (a) the HEX cools down water for the flush function in healthcare applications; or (b) for non-healthcare applications the HEX is plumbed to the exiting sewer water. Both options reclaim additional energy for enhanced savings in energy usage. Between 0.3 gal/lb and 0.7 gal/lb, depending on tunnel size and typical soil levels.
Natural Gas Savings With the extract/press temperature approaching 140 F, savings of up to 10% is achieved in the dryers due to more efficient extraction. In the tunnel, up to 30% savings for (a) healthcare applications and 40% in (b) non-healthcare applications is achieved in water heating energy.

All the features of the Silver and Gold systems with the additional flexibility to perform both (a) healthcare and (b) non-healthcare flow patterns, depending on the soil category entering the tunnel. Between 0.3 gal/lb and 0.7 gal/lb, depending on tunnel size and typical soil levels.
